I want to lose 20 lbs. this year, but I don't want to pay to go to the gym, or buy any equipment for a home gym. What do you reccomend?(if practical, I'd like to not spend any money at all) Thanks.

3,500 calories in a pound of fat.
20 lbs multiplied by 3500=70,000 calories

all you have to do is burn 70,000 excess calories and you will lose 20lbs. you could burn these calories.

if you burn 200 excess calories a day you will lose 21 lbs over the course of a year. yes 21 lbs in exactly a year. all you have 2 do is walk 2 hours a day. or less. i would say no less then 1 hour and a half. if you do that and dont consume over your needed amount of calories you are garunteed to lose 21 lbs by january next year. so i would search for a calories calculator and enter your information (weight, height, gender, age) and it will tell you how many calories your body needs to go through a day.

but it is easy if you stick with it you will lose the weight garunteed. but just dont consume more calories then your body needs. and replace a meal with something low in calories. like a peice of fruit, yogurt, bowl of cereal. and dont drink pop. if you currently drink pop look for an alternative with fewer calories. like fruit drinks vegetable drinks. dont eat fast foods.

the best time to walk is in the morning because your body has no calories to use for energy because you have been asleep so it will burn calories from stored fat. and that is what you want. also avoid eating big dinners. and dont eat something then go to sleep right after eating. if you do it will just store that food as fat. which is not what you want. if you are going to have a big meal it would be best to have a big breakfast because the calories will be burned up throughout the day. unlike with dinner.

so if you are going to substitute a meal for something with fewer calories. i would suggest substituting dinner with something like fruit.

but you dont have to go to the gym. you can do anything that gets your heart rate up. walking, dancing, runnning, or anthing. but yeah you get the idea. you dont have to have any special equipment. but just dont expect to lose a lb of fat a day. healthy weight loss is no more than 2 lbs a week. this weight loss can be acheived by diet and exercise.

diet pills that burn fat.........i highly doubt it. there is no proven pills that burn calories and most of them are just another way for people to still your money. the only way to burn fat is to get your heart rate going by phsical activity. no pill can do that. only diet an excersize will burn fat.

if you want to burn more fat faster then just take how many lbs you want to lose and mutiply it by 3,500. then take that number and divide by how many days you want to lose that much weight in. then you will have the amount of calories you will have to burn daily in order to lose that much weight over the amount of time you wish to lose it in.

edit: to the poster above me......i also did that....not eating and i lost lots of weight. around 15 lbs in a short time. but i would go days without eating....only because we didn't have food and i was never hungry because i was deppressed. but my body got used to not eating for days. and between that and not being hungry due to deppression i lost alot of weight. but i am eating again now. but you must also realize that is not very healthy. one guy tried that and fell to the ground and woke up in the hospital. according to the doctor he wasn't eating enough or drinking enough water.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

If you cut 100 calories from your daily diet you will lose weight. You will start to lose about 7 pounds or more a month just by cutting out 100 calories.

Bets way is to just stop eating... You can also start eating corn flakes, drink water, don't have breakefast just eat onece a day in the middle of the day, but don't over eat... at first its hard but the body gets over it... no money to spend, no exercise... and avoid the sodium

Go on a low carb diet, and walk or run/jog for at least 30 minutes a day.

thats gonna be very hard. u can work out at home but a gym does it better for u
