How empty and weird is a debate when one side simply asks for one tiny little piece of evidence for 'something' to exist, and the other side can't provide that? How is it even possible that such a debate continues?

Should that one side continue in asking for that tiny evidence, or simply walk away with grace? Should the other side continue in screaming about being oppressed, or just walk away in shame?

(Before anybody gets offended, like always...I am, of course, talking about the debate between the Followers of the Holy Zeus and the people who deny His existence)

Yeah, but when it comes to Evolution and them thinking the world is 6000 years old, now, that's just ridiculous.....
It's almost too much to tolerate.
Sure, believe all that crap about Jesus,
but making the bible into a history book that it's not is drawing the line,
they need to be seriously put in their place.
They are a danger to their children, feeding them a load of rubbish, they might as well live in the dark ages.

Usually those who deny his existence are those who need more scientific proof, and those who believe in his existence are those who do not need scientific proof, so it is not a debate because the languages between the two people are very different languages. One may feel like one thing is evidence while the other may see it as complete folly or in other words false. So yes, it's an empty debate. The two people can only debate if they can find each other half way with a new language.

There is no debate. There are only people talking about what they believe and those that can't understand why the others would believe what they believe.
