The same way you explain that a prideful look is an abomination and esteeming anything above GOD or disrespecting you parents.
These six [things] doth the LORD hate: yea, seven [are] an abomination unto him:
Pro 6:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
Pro 6:18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
Pro 6:19 A false witness [that] speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

I have been a Christian for a few years and I love Jesus with all my heart. As soon as I get my act straight I will go about correcting all the Homosexuality in the world. Right now I just proclaim what Jesus has done for me.

You simply dont. You dont know whether god exists or not, no matter how hard you believe in it, so let him be; if it is an abomination indeed let him go to hell after he dies and dont give him a living hell. Gosh you people when will you stop following a 2000 years old book as an instruction for life? Does he also eat seafood? Explain that to him too and tell him not to wear 2 different garments. its also an abomination

Why because some book written by the village idiots back when said so? It also said that you can kill someone for working on a Sunday (Exodus 35:2) as well, do you believe that? If you believe the first, which is out of the book of Leviticus, which also states that that someone who curses should be stoned by the entire village (Lev 24:10-16).

Why not try a straightforward approach? "Hey, did you know you're an abomination?"

Seriously though, you're not sounding like much of a friend. Perhaps it would be best if you'd leave him in peace, and learn to love your neighbour a little, eh?

If he is gay he may not be gay by choice.If people make a deliberate choice to be gay by their own free will then it is an abomination.
If how ever they are born that way well you have to make it clear to him that you are not first up and you start distancing yourself
from your friend.

He's already made up his mind and there's nothing that can or will change his mind , one saying I always use for gay people is you know I've read the Bible many a times and I still keep reading the fact that God created ( ADAM / EVE ) and not ( ADAM / ADAM ) or ( EVE / EVE ) this sometimes wakes them up for a great fight as to who wrote the Bible , so you better have great answers !

Show him the scriptures where it talks about it being an abomination to God. Romans 1:28-32 - And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 - Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 - Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 - Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 - Who knowing the judgment of God, tha tthey which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. The term 'without natural affection' means homosexuality. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah is another prime example of God's judgment on those who choose to live a life of immorality and sin. 1 Timothy 1:9-11- Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers andmurderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 - For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine: 11 - According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - Know ye noth that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 - nor thieves, nor ccovetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners , shall inherit the kingdom of God. If he/she refuses to listen or denies the scriptures, then just pray for him/her - that's all you can do. Let God handle it from there.

You can't. If you want to stay friends just try to tell him about Jesus ,if possible tell him how to accept Christ. Let the Holy Spirit work in his life to make changes. You can not change this person, it is part of who he is. It would be like someone trying to make you a gay. Pray for your friend and remember it is God who changes a man not you.Gays really need to hear about the love of God.

1) According to YOUR Bible, assuming you're a Christian, it's the ACT of homosexuality... not the (natural) state itself.
2) You leave him alone. If you tell him it's an "abomination" then he has the right to leave you as a friend.

I'm a bisexual. Go ahead... tell me it's an abomination.

one of your FRIENDS is gay how can you learn to except your FRIEND just the way he is? im sure in your day to day life you do things which are not 100% "godly" assuming you are basing this on religion besides you can explain to this person your opinion all you want and im quite sure it will change NOTHING so learn to love all people even if you dont agree with their life style
