I want to steam some broccoli and do something yummier than butter.. any seasoning suggestions?

Add some chicken bouillion to the water that you are steaming it with, then add some minced garlic and some salt and just a few pats of butter. Yummm!

I love broccoli, but I do not add so much seasoning as to cover the flavor of the broccoli. I put some water in a saute pan let it boil add garlic salt and butter in sparing amounts then I add the broccoli and cook to the desired tenderness...

Something sweet and acidic goes nicely, such as lemon or a citrus fruit juice mix, a dash of salt and a couple chili flakes.

after you steam it, saute some fresh garlic and toss it with the broccoli. sprinkle in some slivered almonds.

i just did this recentley. put the broccoli in the steamer and before you steam it put minced onion and bacon bits in it.

it's really yummy with bbq sauce. finger lickin good!
also, chili flakes and lime. salsa also works.
