If you are giving him tuna that is meant to be consumed by humans i.e. Starkist, Chicken of the Sea, that isn't good he could be having some type of allergic reaction. As far as milk, I know on TV and movies you see cats drinking milk but its really not good for them. They are lactose intolerant by nature. The have lactose-free milk called Cat-Sip and Whiskas. But as far as the problem goes, he could be getting into something he should'ne be...watch him. Definitely, take him to the vet if the problem continues. My cat had an allergic reaction to something and the vet gave her some meds...helped her a great deal.

Hi there. My little puss had the same problem when he was about 6 months.
It turned out to be tinned cat food with fish or seafood in it, but it ws hard to pinpoint it as the cause, because he didn't always have the reaction.
I stopped feeding him tinned cat food and just fed him finely chopped raw meat - whatever we were eating that night like fresh chicken, beef, lamb, steak and kidney, whatever. He also had a bowl of his dry food available. His bottom lip stopped swelling and now he is fine.
Now we just feed him a really varied diet - he gets tinned food about every second day, and fresh raw meat the other days. It doesn't happen anymore, but we are careful to make sure he has a full variety of tinned food.

Sounds like an abcess or something, does your cat go outside or do you have another cat that could be nipping her in the lip. It could be the teeth check to see if there is a plaque build up, maybe when she eats dry food it irritates her at that spot. If you can afford it have a vet look at it, if not check for other pets or does it happen after she eats a certain type of food.

I have a dog and a cat and what I do is have the cat food high up like on a table or something make sure the cat knows where you have moved it to. Or Every time your puppy tries to eat it spray her with water but make sure this is not a game! Also make sure your puppy is not hungry cause that could also be why Hope this helps

It could be an allergy to food or it could be what is called a rodent ulcer. Just google "rodent ulcer" and you should be able to get some pictures to compare to what your kitty has (beware there are different stages) and can get pretty gross if not treated properly by a vet. However your best and most accurate diagnosis will be from your vet. Good luck.

Sounds like an allergy! My dog had this issue, and after trying several different foods, Iams did the trick. If that doesnt work, or if the cat seems to be in any pain, call a vet....many times, they'll answer questions like this right over the phone.
Good luck!

is she eating out of plastic dishes???? try a metyal dish or another kind of dish. i have heard this affects kitties, although i have not seen iot in my kitties. do not give cats or kittens milk or milk products--thy cannot tolerate lactose and will be ill.
it almost sounds like thrush, a candidiasis infection in humans--but the reaction to plasttic dishes is spozed to be as you are describing==did it start with blisters/zit looking things first???
try different dish. then we all go on from there.
i hope this works for your kitty.

Could be allergic to the food bowl she has been eating out of. If you use a plastic bowl try swithcing to a stainless steel or a ceramic one.

It might be a tooth infection. See a vet.
Never feed a cat milk--it is not good for them. Use only cat milk sold in pet stores.
