why is it that black men seek out white women but white men never sought out black women

I am White, 34 yrs old and have dated only black women since i was like 20 and i approached them alot. Now i am married to a black woman, so your assumption is not true. I think black women are beautiful and really, I don't approach white women because they aren't as attractive to me.

where do you live? i guess it depends on where you're at, but I see interracial couples EVERYWHERE!! (not just black women with white men or white women with black men either) It's good to know that people are freeing themselves of all the pre-conceived notions and going out and doin' what (and who) they want. I've dated men of several different races and I've found over time, a man is a man no matter who color his skin is. There are those white males that may feel "intimidated" (for whatever reason) by even the thought of approaching a black woman (or any woman who is not of the same race). Then there are those guys (whatever race they are) that have the self-confidence in themselves where it's no big deal to approach a black woman (or any woman who is not of the same race). Self-confidence is a HUGE turn on for me, so he could be blue for all I care! Which one are u?

I always thought it was the other way around: I never thought black women were very interested in white guys (generally). I'm a white guy that has found plenty of black women attractive but didn't feel they were interested and have only dated one in my life. I'm married now so it doesn't matter, but if I was single, I would never close the door to the possibility.

That's a pretty general statement. In fact there are white guys that do go out with black women. You'll find most races dating people from other races.

I've dated a couple black women...good times and some very fond memories. I would do it again if the chance came around.

White men are intimadated byu women who have previously been with black men. I think it's because they think black men have bigger penises. Even with a white girl they won't really want to date her if she has been with a black man. so it might be because they assume a black women has been with black men and it intimidates them.

I think you are just thinking of your friends as I have dated several and would not hesitate to do so again if I found one that I really liked.
