Don't even think of putting catfish in. You'll be introducing another predator to compete with the bass and crappie (which really don't go good together either in a small pond). Carp will help keep the aquatic plant growth down, bream will also eat just about anything. If you have any questions you should have a county extension agency and they will have all the info you need. Good luck.

Absolutely forget the catfish. They are predator fish and will not eat leaves and grass clippings. Also do not stock any common carp as they will indeed eventually overpopulate your pond if not strictly controlled. What you need to look into are Triploid Carp or Koi. They are a sterile version of carp specifically bred to clean up ponds sometimes known as grass carp.

Catfish are bottom feeders, and grass carp will help keep the moss out of the pond. Try either one of those.

Definitly go with the Channel Catfish. Carp will overpopulate and take over. Also Channel Catfish are good eating while carp are not even edible in my book.
