what is the rpm range for a stock 69 charger with a 383?

I wouldn't go much over 5,000 rpm, I have a 68 charger that last summer had a 383 and 5,000 is far enough to push it.

If you don't want to chance blowing out a connecting rod bolt and / or bending a rod , keep it below 4500 rpm. It'll run all day at that speed. It sounds like the motor hasn't been refreshed, in that case, 4500 is definitely the limit.

6200 is about as far as you want to go with stock rockers and hydraulic lifters... the stock camshaft only makes power to around 5500 anyways... so there is no need to go further..

I think it is from 5000 up to 15000...
