In moderation, you may get by, but both separately are likely to upset your stomach, and the combo may give you a heck of a bellyache.

That would be a bad idea, You are taking the antibiotic for an infection, and it has to be religiously taken not less than 7 days or depending on your Doctor's prescription. Skipping just one dose will lower the antibiotic's serum level, hence making the bacteria have time to mutate or make itself resistant to the medicine you are taking, it may or may not happen, but to be on the safe side do not skip taking it. And it is contraindicated with alcohol either. So if I were you finish the whole regimen of the antibiotic )how long it was supposed to be taken w/o skipping any dose), you can drink or party once you are clear of your infection. This is just an advise. Good Luck!

The most likely interaction with the alcohol is GI related. Alcohol irritates the stomach lining and can affect (decrease) the body's ability to absorb the antibiotic. And because the tablet you are taking can upset the stomach as well you increase your chances of developing an ulcered stomach lining. One drink nursed through out the evening should cause no problem as long as you are eating as well. But surely to goodness you can go with out a drink. Apply a little will power

The pharmacy should have put a no alcohol sticker on your bottle. With any antibiotic you should never drink untill your
are done with the full course of treatment. You do not want to
end up in the hospital. You can wait for that drink I am sure.

Nope. You weaken the medication in your system and the infection can appear to be cleared up but will come back and the next time it will have developed a resistance to the medication so next time around they will have to give you something stronger. Sometimes in the hospital with antibiotics being fed into the system with an IV 24/7 until it clears up.
