I believe in God and although I do not follow any one religion, I do instead look apun religion as a great source of moral guidance. I believe God is energy and this energy was used to spark the big bang and everything that followed, this I feel merges religion with science. But I believe God cannot stay mad at anyone and that no one is damned to hell forever, no matter how evil they have been during their lifetime. This makes me think that surely even once in hell, people like hitler would be forgiven if they realised what they did wrong and truly asked God for forgiveness. Surely God could not refuse this apology. and if God did forgive the person for all their wrong doings, would that person be reincarnated to be tested again? or would they just go to heaven?

GOD IS LOVE. Not has love, or shows love.In this love he created man to have freewill , to choose to love him as he loves us or to reject this love. we know that anything not of our own choosing but is forced on us is coercion, tyranny, slavery, etc(choose your poison) love forced on us is not love .What is the unforgiveable sin? too reject t this love of our own freewil.if we reject his goodness, grace love and liberty of our own freewill in this life with all the consequences outlined for us now, having us to go to hell to get us to change our minds would amount to coercion ,and would this not negate the very notion of freewill?. GOD gives us free run of this planet, sunshine, rain, seasons, atmospere, all of the things we need to survive and prosper. it is man of his own choosing who scoff's at, despises and deny's his goodness and mercy. and also man which "dumps" on his fellow man. .This universe is boundless(as far as we can see) and i quote" an awful waste of space " if man is to be confined this little corner of it. So i think every person individually is getting the chance in his or her lifetime to choose, do they want to spend an eternity with GOD in love peace and joy of their own freewill ,expanding ever onward upward and outward into this vast cosmo(plenty of room),. or the other "hotspot". YOUR CHOICE!. it is appointed to man once to die, after this the judgement(your choice). please be sure on this one. don't flip a coin.

Once a person dies they have lost their opportunity for forgiveness! The Bible says however a tree falleth, that's how it lies! There is not forgiveness after death!

Anyone can get forgiveness by God, but they must first ask, and they must ask and then sin no more! People such as Hilter probably would never ask, because their conscious have been seared with a hot iron and they think what they are doing is right, therefore they have no need of forgiveness in their own twisted mind!

On the other hand, even a killer can get forgiveness! Such as the case of Paul in the bible... Paul persecuted Christians, he approved the stoning of Stephen and put women and children in prison for being Christians...he also admitted that he did everything possible to bring down God's church...On his way to persecute more Christians he met The Resurected Jesus on the road and he became one of his aplostles...The difference between Paul and Hitler is simple...Paul's heart was not in the killing of anyone...he thought what he was doing was right! But he saw the truth and the truth set him free! Many will not accept the truth and turn away! Paul believed so much that he died a Christian martyr.

I actually agree with your statement that God is energy, cause Einstein's theory of relativity shows that matter comes from energy and vice versa.

I don't beleive in hell as an everlasting punishment. Revelation 20; 13 and 14 shows what happens to hell and death. My hope is in the resurection such as those performed by Jesus on differnet people like his friend Lazarus. There is the unforgivable sin agains the Holy spirit and i don't know if Hitler commited that or not, but Romans 6; 7 says that when a man dies, he is aquitted of his sin.
I would not want to be in Hitler's shoes however, even Jesus said that Judas Iscariot would have been better off if he had never been born- Mark 14; 21

You believe God is energy. That's nice. Do you have any facts to support that claim? I have the supernaturally protected and supernaturally verified Bible. "Reincarnation" is merely an insulting way of saying that God isn't powerful enough to get his message to a human the first time. He is. Could Hitler have been forgiven if he had repented WHILE STILL ALIVE. Of course. He didn't, tho. The test is here, now, one life, many chances. In this one life you secure your heart's choice, and then God gives you the blessing of what you ask for: life eternally with, or without Him. It really is just that simple.

God is all forgiving but we only have this lifetime to recieve that forgiveness. We have the freedom of choice and if we choose to disobey God and do not accept His son, Jesus, then we have made our own destruction. It would be like a person who adopted children and one of the children would never have anything to do with the adoptive parent although the parent clothed them and made sure they were provided for. For years this goes on and the child grows up and never spends time with the parent and belittles them and acts as if they don't exist. When the parent finally dies do you think the hateful, unloving child should have a part of the inheritance?

Interesting question.

This is the one of my biggest problems with the God idea most proposed in our society.

We can all agree that people like Hitler had been horrible during their lives, and, if there is some sort of system of punishment and rewards after death then surely people like this deserve punishment.

What bothers me is that this punishment for a human being's finite existence on Earth is said to be FOREVER. At what point does punishment turn sadistic?

It sounds to me something people would make up, not what a deity who is supposed "Love" past our abilities and who understands what "forever" truly means.

But, in this instance. The point is all moot, if you believe in all this. Hitler was Catholic. So some would put him in heaven while Buddha and Gandhi rot in hell for eternity.

Once a person has died their chances are over. Anyone who wishes to be forgiven can be. There is no reincarnation. Hell is only until everyone is burned up and starts after the thousand years in heaven. Heaven doesn't start for anybody until AFTER Jesus comes back to take us all there(who want to go).

I respectifully recommend that you read God's Holy Scriptures in the King James Version for guidance and correct your misunderstandings of God's Plan for Salvation.

He would've had to have repented before he went to Hel*, If God did judge him to go there when the day of judgement comes. No one knows what was in Hitlers heart only God does and only Hitler did

God openly forgives everyone, however not everyone chooses to accept it. Hitler had his entire life to accept Jesus as his savior and the Forgiveness of sins that come with, he chose to do otherwise. There is no second chance.
