It's a scare tactic, a convenient freak- the- everliving- crap- out- of- folks magic wand that can be waved about in dramatic fashion any time the religious collective feels the soul harvest is running dry.

People have been proclaiming that they are living through the "end times" for waaaaay too long. There's always some unhygienic street-corner evangelist crackpot sputtering about how the world is going to end and that all the heathens better get the Lord harassed into their unsaved souls

Don't worry about him... he's just an old crackpot who wants attention... even if it's negative.

I think it's the same

you and me both woke up to see he has always been a nut

and christianity has always issued dire prophecies and kept "rapture idiots" in permanent suspense

I love that guy, he keeps showing the world what a joke it is and a loon to be "christian" and you see time and again his lies and delusions on a world level

you gotta love him calling for the Assasination of Chavez...very christian, and crusader like,

very unlike a loving and understanding Jewish Jesus

He's just a jerk trying to keep his name in the headlines and hoping to attract the naive to his flock.
His prediction is a gamble. If it fails, he can always say it wasn't that meaningful, or that God changed His mind - his followers will believe anything he says. If something similar happens, he gets to pass for a prophet.

I hear he has to sit on a rubber sheet on the 700 Club set now too, just in case...

He's an insane bigot who needs someone to slap the c0ck out of his mouth before he speaks. If I had to pick someone that I thought was the closest to the devil, it would be Ole Pat. He's disgusting.

All of a sudden? He's a false profit, and Satan's messenger.

I think he likes the attention. And money. He must think that God thinks he's special. I know it's not true because God didn't tell me.

Nothing is going on with him that has not been going on for years. You have just never noticed it before.
