He's older now, so he might be able to do without naps. Or if necessary, I would limit the time to maybe 15-20 minutes, no longer than a half an hour. I wouldn't recommend giving him candy before going to bed because that sugar makes him want to get up and moving. Playing hard with him during the day is almost always a guarantee he will go to bed at a decent time. Before going to bed, after a long days of fun, a good warm bath and some quality story time is always good! And if he doesn't go to sleep after all of this, try blowing on his back and his neck. I've been doing this to my 3 year old niece since she was a baby-baby.

Not necessarily, but you should have him checked by a doctor just to make sure there is nothing going on there. Some of us just sweat more. Since he loses fluids easily, make sure he drinks plenty of water to avoid dehydrating. There are prescription topical medications that can actually reduce the amount he sweats. It may not bother him now, but when he hits those teen years he may become very self-conscious about it.

If he is worried about it, or it is a cause of any form of bullying then yes. If this doesnt apply - no.
If he wants to do something about it go to a local pharmacy and they have products from as little as £3 to deal with it. There are soaps, roll ons and all sorts of lotions and potions available.
The main thing (if he is worried himself) is to reasurre him that it happens to many people out there and that hes not abnormal. Using the underarm roll on (if its underarms we are talking about) can make it seem more 'normal' than covering him head to toe with lotions.
The people in the pharmacy will tell you what sort of items will be suitable and it will save him the embarrasment of going to a doctor.
Hope this helps! Kelly.

I wouldn't worry about unless he is overweight, but there is a skin condition that causes some people to sweat more. You can always go to your doctor to get it check out and/or see if there are any prescriptions for it.

i have a girl of 9 who is a bit of a sweaty betty as i say ( not in front of her of course) she is as thin as a rake so it isnt always about weight. My friends daughter is the same and one thing they have in common is they are a bit more hairy than the other girls. both pretty and with healthy shapes. its prob just extra testostorone- which is good for your son. our girls will prob be the envy of others when they have thick hair, your son will fine. its just different. personally i dont know where she got it i only sweat a bit. good luck

My little brother sweat a lot when he was little, just walking around he would be soaking wet.
He had a high metabolism, he is still a bean pole. Mom cooked for him, we ate off of plates, he got a platter instead of a plate.

Maybe he is dressing too warmly. If you are worried about it, call the doc's office and talk with the nurse.
