It seems to me that anyone of average intelligence would:
Want to know what the Doctor plans for you before surgery...
Want to know how money set aside for you is invested in your retirement plan...
Want to know a skyscraper evacuation plan in case of a terrorist attack...
and etc., etc., etc.
Why should you merely accept whatever befalls you as God's will when you do not have a logical explanation for it?

Is there really "a plan" or does ones life just play out day to day and if bad luck strikes, you are dead.

I don't think God has any control over anything that happens to us in our day to day lives. He would be a cruel being if he "allowed" some of the heinous acts that we see here.

Because God lets you make the choice for yourself. He will not make a decision for you. Also, God doesn't always bring things on you, we disobey His Word, and then are quick to blame it on Him. Also, we like to blame it on the devil when it is not his fault either, WE make the choice. You alone are in charge of your life and most of the time, we let God down. For the logical explanation, you can believe in Him, or you can not believe in Him. Again, Your Choice.

Actually God's plan for us is to love Him and others, uphold the commandments, baptize and spread the gospel to all nations.

Basically to live a life like Jesus, but that comes with a lot of persecution, possible martyrdom, and no worldly possessions.

Which god? Have you spent any amount of time considering what Krishna is planning for you? I suspect not. That's how some of us feel about your god.

Happy New Year

Because he is God, this is the same thinking that got Adam and Eve kicked out of The Garden of Edan...
