I have a photo of me and I want to make it all black & white except for my eyes, i want them to retain the color! Does anyone know a SIMPLE and EASY way to do this?

If you want to do it directly on the photo, I suggest http://focuscamera.com/sc/sub.asp?mainid=3&catid=6&subID=938&brand=Marshall Marshall paints. They go on translucent and make very lovely colours.

If you want to go through Photoshop, one way is to make a copy of the photo layer so there are two layers with the photo on. Make the LOWER layer B&W through Image Adjustment. On the UPPER layer, select just the eyes with the lasso tool or Quick Mask (whichever you are more comfortable with), then apply a layer mask. (You may have to invert your selection first, which can be done in the Select menu. I always end up selecting the wrong thing to mask, but that's what the History palette is for!)

you're only 16? your work looks like it is done by one much more experienced and mature. you frame well, your choice of subject matter is good and imaginitive, ... good shots all of them i think you have a good run at the contest... good luck with it, but no matter the outcome of this contest, keep up the photography, classes are always a good idea (every artist i know takes classes, no matter how good they are, goes for photographers too.) have you thought of joining a local photo club? we have one here where i live called the photo-alliance, they get together once a month and share pictures critiques have speakers go on field trips to take photos, have a show once or twice a year and they all have fun and learn from each other, you would probably have alot of fun with something like that.

w/ a select tool, circle your eyes only, and copy them.
then, w/ a filter, make the photo black and white.
then on a new "top" layer, paste in front your colored eyes
there you go.
you can also select your eyes...... or rather everything around your eyes and filter it to black and white... leaving your eyes in color.
good luck

What type of photo editing software do you have? I've done some pictures like this and I might be able to help you depending on the software you use.
