A teenager harassed by police in St. Louis, Missouri caught the incident on tape. Brett Darrow, 19, had his video camera rolling last month as he drove his 1997 Maxima, minding his own business. He approached a drunk driving roadblock where he was stopped, detained and threatened with arrest when he declined to enter a conversation with a police officer about his personal travel habits. Policemen tend to violate laws because of wrong perception of work, improper training, abusive attittudes and poor leadership.

Am I to believe that this guy just happens to have his video camera on out in the middle of no-where, at night, while he pulls up to a Police Check point that he "Doesn't" know is there and decide to leave it running while he speaks with an Officer while refusing to co-operate? It's called "Cop baiting" and yes, there are young, inexperienced Officers out there that fall for it every time. It's too bad to because what you don't see now is that one of these young officers will be doubly cautious and make even bigger mistakes. They may think twice about searching a suspect and that'll be the time a suspect kills them. Of course the Officers wouldn't let him get back into his vehicle, what if he had 4 pounds of coke in his car or a weapon? Do you think he would just pull off to the side of the road? Jeez people, get a grip! The thing that bugs me the most is that this guy will have a crime perpetrated on him and then he won't care whose rights get stomped on, as long as the Police catch the crooks. Man, this kid would make a GREAT lawyer or Politician! Now go ahead and give me a "thumbs down" I expect it.

Maybe they questioned and detained him because other people (naming possible terrorist attacks) taking video of something which made them look suspicious. Maybe they were being cautious I don't know. I couldn't open that link but not all cops violate the constitution.

I know of some honorable police officers that do not violate. They do their job. Now, let's not forget that a lot of times when we see videos of police hitting or doing something to a person, 9 out of 10 we don't see what transpired minutes before that footage.

Your link goes nowhere.

Courts have consistently ruled that DWI roadblocks are NOT unconstitutional.

And it may be unprofessional to threaten to arrest someone for refusing to engage a conversation, but the Constitution protects free speech; it doesn't violate anyone's rights unless the arrest is actually made without probable cause.

"He approached a drunk driving roadblock where he was stopped"

Talking to you is one of the first things police do to see if you're driving drunk...

There's no conspiracy going on here.. get over it.
