In the movie Black Robe, the native tribe that literally turned the other cheek was wiped off the face of the earth. But Gandhi used passive resistance to defeat the British, so when possible, use it.

The majority of the left are secular progressives who think everyone is the same and should be treated the same regardless of what they do. They play up religion because they want the religious votes, that's just using religion and not true belief. The ends justify the means for those on the left and that is not the way of a Christian. Jesus never said let's just let everyone do what they want because that's fair. He laid down what is right and what is wrong and the left have no clue as to what that is. Call me a conservative, a traditionalist, a Republican, a Christian, but don't ever call me a leftist.
May God Bless you.

"Turn the other cheek," which is NOT a solely Christian idea, has brought us Gandhi, MLK, the civil rights movement, all that non-violent protest stuff.
That's not weak. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.
At some point, you have to let the war die if you don't want everybody to be killed off. It's easy to kill, to be violent and hateful and rude and cruel.
It's exquisitely difficult to love your enemy. It takes WAY more work, more practice, more soul-searching to do that than to just be a belligerent hate-spewer.
Jesus was a liberal. A bad-a $$, powerful, love-your-neighbor liberal. Too bad conservative "Christians" seem to ignore that fact.

Something the left and most of all people forget is that Justice will be served. This is an unjust world and there are governing body's that can and will bring those who have done evil acts to justice.
You can love your enemy all you want. But the crimes of those against the innocents will be brought to justice.

I don't know about left, right, politics and war, I just know unconditional love. When one has unconditional love within their heart and Prays thusly, I pray that all those persons insane with fear, anger, and hate may experience the unconditional love of God within their hearts as i have found within mine. This prayer will do more for world peace than your Fist in the face. When one prays thusly for ones enemy, kissing him on his cheek and saying with Love,"my love i give unto you" they are no longer enemies. I say this from personal experience before the gun. From Love, With Love, To Love. whistle britches.

That is absolutely true. You get down to a liberal's mindset: and it's all hyperChristianity.
It's compassion and Christian doctrine through and through. Love your neighbors, turn the other cheek, don't judge, etc.
The only difference is that liberals often think it's ok to kill a kid as long as it's in a woman's body where it can't be clearly seen being murdered,
other than that, it's pretty darn christian.
conservative bible thumpers favor the old testament, --Yet the Irony of THAT is that most Jews are Liberal!!!! LOL....
They don't truly follow to the letter anything christ has to say other than "follow me and your in like flynn".

If everybody loved their enemy, there wouldn't be no wars and the different nations of the world wouldn't have to waste billions of dollars and milliions of lives for nothing.
