Im looking to talk to anyone that is a CANADIAN cop or private investigator. I have suspicion that someone I know could be preying upon young woman or worse. I have no evidence to really prove this though. I was friends with this person online, and then one day I looked up their phone number and suprise! They didnt have the same name, location, or nothing. I have their address, a few emails, and some fake names they go by. This could be a potential serious matter. Im praying that by the grace of god someone is willing to help free of charge! I have an address, so if a cop or private investigator would be willing to run the address through some system thatd be great!!So if your willing to talk or help me in any way please reply.

You should contact the RCMP or the local police department where you believe this person to live. Any police force will have contact information on their website. There are many police forces that have task teams that actually specialize in this kind of information.

Are you saying that because he gave you a fake name and number he's a sexual predator? That's not right.. I'd like to know what you've got to go on, that's a serious accusation with serious consequences and if you're just making it up, you should be spending some time in prison yourself. I don't know though.. Point is that there are a lot of women out there who get mad at a guy and start throwing accusations around that have no basis on facts, but are just a sad attempt to get back at someone. The only things you could have that would be incriminating are emails, instant messages, or text messages sent to you while you where POSING as a juvenile, or if you are IN FACT a minor who had conversations of sexual nature with this individual. Then the best thing to do is try to find anything to find him. An IP address, or if he ever text messaged you, or called, contact your cell phone provider and tell them to maintain your records. They do anyway for up to 5 days, most of them...

Something on TV. Cops don't really interact with PI's day to day. Cops can't release information to PI's-most of the information cops get are from confidential sources, like DMV computers, criminal records, etc-all stuff that PI's can't have access too. Sometimes in high profile cases families will hire PI's to conduct a separate investigation with the police to make sure nothing is missed, but they don't "compare notes" or anything.

Whether you're in Canada or any other place....the only proper way to initiate an investigation concerning an illegal activity would be by contacting your local police. With matters concerning internet crime, often times, (in the USA) the FBI would possibly be interested based upon the type of crime being committed. Your best approach would be notifying the police!!
