If surgery is too expensive for right now, what can be done? My girlfriend's impacted wisdom teeth are causing her a lot of pain (prolonged headaches, aching jaw.)

But if you do not have the money for the oral surgery required to remove impacted teeth.Have her
ask her DDS to give her an anti-biotic for the infection and pain pills for the pain she is in..

I had to have this surgery too! I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed in one swoop at the London Royal Dental Hospital. They DO GIVE YOU anesthesia, and load you up with pain killers afterwards - and yes you will be swollen, but that does not last forever. If you keep the tooth as it is, it can become infected and possibly even kill you! CJ

Surgery is the only option, so far as I know. See if you can find a dentist who will take payments, or go to a county clinic and ask for a referral to someone who charges on a sliding scale.

There really isn't anything else you can do, and the sooner they are removed, the easier it will be. If you have dental insurance, it should cover most of the surgery.

No, unfortunately they're going to have to be removed surgically. It'll be the only way to cure that. Best of luck to you.
