I have a trc430 ham radio, and i want to hook it up to power. It has a red wire, a white wire, and a black wire. I looked up this site:http://www.cbtricks.com/radios/realistic/trc_430/430spec.htm and it says that this radio can take 12v power. I have a 12v power supply. How do i hook this up? It "negative ground" so if that is so, what do you hook up the white wire to?

Hello,

The TRC-430 is a 40 channel CB, not a ham radio. It was meant to be used in a vehicle which is why it has 3 connections. The white wire was meant to be switched by the ignition so that you could leave your radio on, but when you took the key out the radio would shut off. If you're using it with a power supply, both the white and the red go to positive, and the black goes to negative/ground. Enjoy!
