I wanted to lose weight but didnt want to do anything drastic to change my life. I have and plan on going to the local GYM about 5 days a week. I basically do the same thing, Bike for 30min (it says burn 250 Calories) this is just to break a sweat. Then i bench, curl, triceps, and some shoulder excercises. Without changing any of my eating habits will i lose weight and get thin? (im thinking probaby but very slowly) Also by biking, will that make my thighs smaller or build muscles and make them bigger? Thank you! :D

Im 17 years Old 5'7 170pounds (tried to edit.. didnt work. wound up gettin deleted)

Cardio is the key to loosing fat, so the biking is good and also the weights will help you define the areas you are working out. Now remember the muscle weights more than fat so once you build the muslce you may actually gain weight but still see changes in your body as far as the loss if inches in your arms, legs, and stomach areas. If you really want to see the changes you need to start on a diet plan as well. If you want tokeep it simple try to cut out the snacks, drink plenty of water and watch the carbs/ sugars you eat. Also try to avoid fatty foods as well. I actually recommed the south beach diet. the first two weeks are tough but it really teaches you how to eat right and it works!

it will work, i did a similar workout when i was 17 to get ready for basic training, Wait about a month, then you will start to see some results. I found I didn't have to change my diet and I still lost weight, hell im 20 now and i still lose weight on my fast food diet, i just workout 5 times a week. the biking will make your legs strong, its great exercise actually, low impact and great cardio. if you want to really see results do more weights for each group, IE
instead of doing 1 chest excercise, do 3.
3 sets of 8 on the bench,
3 sets of dumbell presses(chest presses)
3 sets of pushups
then do 3 bicept exercises, and 3 tripcept exercises, you'll be ripped in a month. remember, use good form and drink some milk when ur done working out. get good sleep too. no need to diet if youre really going to the gym everyday. Also, youre 17 and 17 year olds should eat as much as they can.

You will lose weight initially but your body will soon get used to your routine and then you have to push yourself to go farther and faster. You'll also want to mix up your strength training routine. I suggest you consult a personal trainer at the gym. He or she can set you up with a routine and teach you proper form and technique. Good luck!
