It will say on the side of the chamber.If it does'nt it can't

Read the info on the barrel. If it doesn't say 3" or says it is okay for steel then no.

If you shoot steel out of a barrel not rated for it, you will destroy the barrel in a very short time.

Buy a shotgun that is made to shoot the rounds you want to use.

If it is chambered for 3" shells (will be marked on barrel) and the choke is more open than "full", then yes.
