If you need a blank on, you can find them at www.irs.gov
If you are wanting to try and get your own from your job, you need to find out if your company is set up to allow online access by an employee to see their own personnel record - which may include anything from benefits, to withholdings, to earnings statement, and possibly W2's.

Lucy_Fur is the best answer so far. I can view mine on our companies site. As of today, the 2006 W-2 is not jet available. According to the toll-free number, it may not be on-line before the end of the month. I plan to check daily anyway.

You can't. This is not public information. Only the person to whom the 1099 and/or W-2 belongs to can request a copy from the issuer. This is not public information nor in this day and age of identity theft, fraud, etc., should it be. You wouldn't want a complete stranger having access to your private information. Would you?

The SSA link above says you can either file the W-2 electronically or order a red ink one to file on paper. But you cannot actually print one online and then mail it to the govt.
