Most likely if the couple is married, the children would take their fathers last name or a hyphenated combination of both last names. Best is to just ask the parents.

My mother kept her maiden name, but I have my father's last-name.
I would address the card using the father's last name or as others suggested, hyphenate the last names.
When in doubt, ask the parents. If it's a birthday card (or the like), you probably don't need the last name.

It would be the child's actual last name. If you dont know it just ask. There are lots of situations with blended families now that the kids last name doesnt necessarily match the parents. But if the card contains gift money, guess what they wont be offended whatever you call them.

most likely the husband's last name, unless they're from previous marriage. but if you don't know for sure write to:
Children's First Names
C/O Mother's first and last Name
Address
so the children will receive card, and you won't offend or use the wrong name.

Well if the child's last name is the same as the fathers you might go with that. Or you could in order to avoid any Fax paus only use the child's first name.

THe children will probably have the mother's maiden name. Thats what happened with me. I was born before my parents were married so I got my mom last name. and still do because they decided not to change it.

You could avoid it by not using the child's name. But if you need to, then you also need to find out what name they have given the child. Could be hers. Could be his. Could be a combination of both. There is no safe guess.
