Try to hold onto the power button until it turns off. If that doesn't help, then pull the power cord off.
But when you turn it back on, press F8 quickly. Then go into safe mode and wait for it to load. Then uninstall mcafee.

Call a service person. DO NOT hold down the power button or unplug it because that is force shutdown. Force shutdown is very bad for the computer and will damage your computer even more.

somebody took away the function in group or protection coverage. there's a decision in the .msc utility to allow or disallow end purchasers from seeing the on/off button. it is meant for use for desktops that are utilized by skill of the standard public at kiosks or the library, case in point.

Sounds like you locked it with a password. If you don't want it turned off, you can choose to lock it with a password so other users can't turn it off.
