The trick is not in the boiling but the peeling. Peel while still very warm under water. When you first take them off, add cold water a couple of times to cover them and then crack all the shells while the egg is in the cool water.

It is not so much the cooking method but the age. New eggs are very hard to peel, older eggs peel easily. Put eggs into warm water and bring to a boil....reduce heat and cook on low simmer for 12=15 minutes. Pour off hot water and shake eggs in pan to break shells, pour in very cold water and let sit a few seconds...peel.

After boiling, run the eggs under cold water. Crack the egg on the rounder side and then roll the egg on a hard surface with the palm of your hand. The shell should peel off real easy.

I don't know if it will make the shell peel off easier, but I always add a few dashes of salt to the water. I know that this helps the egg not to crack while boiling. Also, be mindful of the time you're boiling them, that makes a difference.

It looks like freshness is a factor...eggs between 7-10 days old have a better chance of peeling easily. Cooling the eggs immediately after cooking will also help the eggs peel more easily.

first off make sure the eggs are good, second put them in water bring it to a fast boil, put a lid on it and turn it off let it sit for 15 minutes and the eggs will be perfect. the run old water on them and when you stat to peel them hit them on the top or bottom first and roll them to loosen the shell they should peel great. sometime you will get a bad one but usually they will peel great. hope this helps you.

When you cool the cooked egg in cold water whack the shell in a couple places. As the egg cools it sucks water into the shell and makes them peel a lot easier. Give it a try.!!

Timing...

Place them into cold water and bring them to a boil.
add a tablespoon of white or apple cider vinegar to the pot
(Important to keeping the shell from cracking)
From the time they actually come to the boil, time them for 10 minutes.
Then remove them from the heat and leave them on the stove until they become relatively cool
and then rinse with cold water.

The whole cooking process should happen gradually and they continue to cook after you take them off the heat too.

Thats what I do... We had egg salad for lunch today! shell slides off easy every time!

Try adding salt to the water and eggs. I find it adds flavor and makes the shell come off easy.
