The dvds will only play on the dvd recorder that I dubbed them on.I have used dvd+r and dvd-r.

Some dvd players cannot read recordable compact discs. it depends on the type of brand the cd is and if your player can read it.

older dvd players dont support dvd+/-r. you can get cheap ones that do starting around $29.00.
