Heaven isn't about getting whatever you want-it's about giving glory to God. The bible says that you'll recognize people in heaven, but we have no way of understanding this until we die.

We won't necessarily get what we would wish for. We will get what God gives us and I am sure that it will be pure joy.
I won't need satellite TV and DSL up there.
If Jesus is right, there is no gender in heaven either.
So a lot of people won't want to go there.

I don't view Heaven in such a context. I believe we'll take with us the distinct features that make us, us. The distinct features that make me me...will never cease. And the distinct features that make you you...won't either. We'll be perfected...but, we won't be completely new individuals. We will carry on traits that we have in this life.
