I have a 10 mth old lab, and every couple of months she breaks out around her chin, mouth, and sometimes eyes. She has been to the vet, we have used cream, helps very little, even oxy pads, and she has been given an antibotic, which totally clears it for the time being, and I know she cant keep taking the antibotics, we clean her mouth every time she is done eating. Any advice, what may cause this, or other home cures, or what else it could be that the vet may be missing, I love our vet, just curious. PS they tend to be some very big bumps that sometimes break open.

You're most likely correct, and this is dog acne. She's only a puppy still. It's VERY likely she'll outgrow this. The only thing I can think of that you didn't mention, is the type of bowl she eats and drinks from. If you use plastic bowls, try changing to stainless steel. Otherwise, you sound like you're doing everything you can!

If you aren't already doing so, feed her from a stainless steel bowl. Also, one of the best things I have seen to help keep the breakouts at bay is regular Listerine. Just wipe down the chin twice a day. My Great Dane had "puppy acne" and the Listerine really cleared it up quickly.

After I told the vet I work for about the Listerine remedy and he saw the results, we now recommend Listerine to our clients for the acne problems. Also, make sure you are cleaning the bowl after each meal with just an antibacterial dish soap and water.

Do you take you dog swimming in the river? If you take your dog swimming somewhere else other than a swimming pool there's always stuff in the water like fertilizer, or weed killer, and other stuff. It could be an allergic reaction.
Your dog could also have a thyroid problem. You should take your dog to a few different vets and see what they say.
