Yes once. It broke my heart but I didn't let anyone see my heartbreak. I continued to go out with the guy for another couple of weeks only because it was the Xmas season but then broke up with him on New Years Day. I didn't explain myself but immediately started dating his older brothers best friend. It crushed him...he was desperate to get me back but I continued flaunting my new relationship to our friends. He moped around everywhere, crying to anyone who would listen how miserable he was.
The new bf knew why I was doing this & played along splendidly...whenever he was over at their house he went on & on about what we had been doing, where we had been & all that kind of stuff.
Finally the ex-bf cracked and showed up on my doorstep bawling about when he had cheated on me and realized how good he had it with me and all that stuff I had been wanting him to admit.
I never took him back & to this day...19 years later he STILL comes around every once & awhile begging for me to come back. I am so happy he never saw me cry or how upset I really was because he was so not worth it.
So I won that one but only because I was stronger than my broken heart.
