I'd ask about lifestyle habits that could affect my family as well...smoking, drinking and partying. Do they have a steady source of income, will they clean up their own mess and keep after themselves etc..etc.. hope this helps :)

One u need to write up an agreement that if it doesn't work that you can have her leave within 30 days, Second, you need to tell her the ground rules, that u don't want partying, destruction, etc. You need to ask her values, what her hobbies are etc. I know she has a child, but that doesn't mean she can't be wild. It's going to be difficult, even when u know someone it's difficult to live with them, also ask if you can do a background check. Kindof think of it as an application for employment.

I would ask for references for one. I would ask what she considers clean, and if she dates, and what kind of people she hangs out w/. I would ask her what type of job she has, to determine if she can pay and to know what hours she would be coming and going. I would also want to know if she has already prearranged a sitter, so she won't try to rope you into doing it for her. I would also tell her what I expect f/ her as a tenant before she moves in.

I don't know but it sure doesn't sound like a good idea to me. You could find a stranger to move in if you need a renter, and she could find a stranger to move in with if she is in need. But moving friend into your house is the best way I can think of to end a friendship and/or find yourself in court.

if that person was my friend, i would def want to know that they will be able to come up with their portion of the rent every month, that they are clean, that they are respectful of other people's property, that she helps out with soem of the cleaning, that she respects space and noise.
