I believe it should be all or nothing. If a girl in my daughter's class can wear a cross she should be able to wear her pentacle. Her friend should be able to wear her pentagram, as well.
If my daughter isn't allowed to wear her pentacle, or her friend wear her pentagram, than NO ONE should be able to wear a cross, either.
Fair is fair.

Yes, they should be allowed just as much as crosses, and stars of David, and whatever else.
I'd be interested in seeing the whole story. I've seen school districts do some absurd bannings before, but it's usually just because they can't think of any other solution for a big uproar or controversy - it's like their last minute resort thing they pull out just to make it all go away.

Yes, if crosses are allowed the pentacle should be allowed also. some school districts have a strict dress code that does not allow religious jewlry for this very reason, but you would think christians were being fed to the lions again the way they yell persecution.

If jews are allowed to wear the star of david, then other people certainly should be allowed to wear the pentagram. After all they are BOTH stars - the only difference is that one has 5 points and the others has 6 points.
If one is banned - they BOTH should be banned.
Along the same lines - if crosses are allowed to be worn, then so should ankhs. After they are both crosses. If ankhs are banned, then crosses should also be banned.
Its called being FAIR

Well, you see, that's just the problem. Pagans are discriminated against, while Muslims can wear their hijabs. At least, that's what gets me angry. Either let both express their religion, or neither. At the moment, they're picking and choosing who they allow to have this freedom, and that is what gets my goat about it. No problem telling a Pagan not to wear whatever they want connected to their religion, not a problem to tell a Native American to cut his hair - yet... there is a problem telling Muslims not to wear hijab? So yes, it is perfectly fine to want to ban it while everything else is banned. Thats how I see it.

The student had to "register as a Pagan"? What is that? Do they make you declare your religion there? Youy can wear ANY religious symbol here, this is America, the land founded by people escaping religious persecution!!

Yes. Christians, Jews and people of other religions are allowed to wear the signs of their religion. Pentagrams are also a sign of a religion, and if we are truly a free country, then children should be allowed to wear the pentagram as well.

It is against the law for anyone to ask a student to register their religious beliefs with a school. The school has no right to even ASK that question..
I agree with the majority here.. all or nothing.
Thanks for posting this.. very good question!

Honestly, if people are allowed to wear crosses, then pentagrams should be allowed, too.
We can't ban things just because the majority doesn't agree with them.

I believe that pentagrams are okay to wear in school because they are no different than crosses. They are both symbols on what you believe. This country also has freedom of religion.
