Freezing them will make them get sticky. What you need to do is keep them dry. They will not spoil at rom temperature. Seal them in a container and they will be better.

Yes, but it's not a good idea to do so since they get gooey when they thaw.

Hard candy doesn't go bad in the cabinet.

Yes, you can. My mom has for up to a year. SOMETIMES, when they thaw, they are sticky though. :-(
