The Bible tells us that "Heaven" as we understand it (the "pearly gates" place) is the "New Jerusalem". It is a real city approximately 2500 square miles that is currently in space or a 4th dimension. It has streets paved with gold so thin that it is mirror-like. It has 12 gates and 4 sides and 4 corners. It may be pyramidal in shape. It is more than big enough to fit all the saved of all time.
When Christ returns, the saved will be physically "caught up" to the New Jerusalem, where they will live and reign with Christ for 1000 years. At the end of the Millennium, the New Jerusalem will return to Earth (which has remained dark, desolate and unpopulated all this time) and land on the Mount of Olives, flattening it. Christ will then judge the wicked of all ages and the Earth will be purged with fire (Hellfire). This fire will eventually burn itself out, and God will begin re-creating the Earth the way it was before the Fall, perfect and beautiful. The saved will then be able to exit the New Jerusalem to enjoy the renewed planet. They will have dwellings both in the city and on the planet, where they will be free to build their own homes from eternal materials, grow their own food and interact and play with animals that were formerly ferocious, like lions and dinosaurs. We will have new, perfect physical bodies that will have an added 4th dimension, like Christ had after His resurrection, when He appeared suddenly inside a locked room. All residents of Heaven and the New Earth will be vegetarians, as meat requires the death of an animal, and there will be no death in Heaven. It will be a real existence, not floating around as ghosts and strumming harps (although you could if you wanted to). You will never be bored, because you will be able to explore the entire endless universe, and learn all kinds of science that God knows. You will be able to fellowship with people on other unfallen worlds.
This is what our religion believes about Heaven, which is based upon what the Bible says about Heaven. I am a Seventh-Day Adventist.

If we all understood that heaven is at hand, we all would come home early from work to get on with the real work at hand. But it takes time to fully understand the implications of such a simple statement

Its is every where the physical is. except it is a spiritual plane of existence residing right along with the physical. It is right here. right now.but you have to be a spirit to be in it.in that certain state of being called soul awareness.when you die you soul body leaves your physical body and is brought by the spirit to this wonderful land of God. which has many mansions.or that is many different states of being. and levels of heaven. each with its on characteristics . many places. city's. oceans of love and tranquility.and so much more.we can soul travel to see it and experience it.but only while in sleep.and we don't remember it.the mind and soul is connected to the spirit which knows all things thru the Majesty and power and knowledge and wisdom and the magnificent being of the God of Gods.

Heaven and Hell are both synonymous with eternity. They are not physical places, so they require no physical location. Eternity is a purely spiritual state of existence or dimension.

Some believe it to be in another dimension this kinda makes sense to me because if it was in the universe somewhere in theory you could travel there.
