While stopping the soda drinking is very helpful there are a lot of other things that will speed up your weight loss. Try drinking a lot of water...I mean A LOT of water. Not only will it start to filter out the toxins in your body but will make your skin brighter, hair healthier, nails stronger and make you feel a lot healthier. Start an easy exercise regimen at the beginning because falling into a grueling one so soon will wear you out and you'll give up too soon. Long walks, sit ups, jumping jacks, and lunges. You can slowly work yourself into jogging, more sit ups, more lunges, MORE sit ups, and then even more sit ups. All while doing these exercises you should keep in mind to eat healthy and eat a little a lot of the time. Smaller meals, healthier meals, and you should eat something 5, 6, even 7 times a day. Drink lots of water and make sure that you are eating enough but not too much. The food pyramid found on most cereal boxes tell you what you need to eat each day. I've lost 65 lbs. and am trying to lose 30 more. If I skip a meal, or don't eat enough - I can count on actually gaining weight. Good Luck! You CAN do it!
Add some exercise each day - doesn't need to be much. march in place during commercials on TV. Do a couple of sit ups. It is amazing the even that little bit works!

Ok i told this to my aunt and she lost 60 pounds and kept it off
First of all you have to portion your meal people say you have to eat healthy all fruits and veggies un uh that wont work you need milk dairy wheat to You also want lots of carbohydraits but with everymeal eat a piece of fruit.What i mean by portion your meals depending on how much you eat a meal cut it down 25-30 %
try to stay away from deep fryed foods some fried food are ok once and a while.
You also dont have to completly cut out fast food maybe once a month would be ok.
Lots of carbohydraits You will need them for exercising
drink lots ofwater and kep in mind that you can buy stacys chips\
there 100% healthy.potatoes are a good carbohydrait source.
join a gym and go everynight everxcize your heart out everyday you really wanna sweat keep doing this dont take any burn fat
pills if you are under 25 they couyld kill ya.PLus you put the weight back on when you stop taking them. You need to eat three square meals a day all three if you skip youll gain soooo much weight believe me. two glasses of milk a day. walk everynight ofr about 1 mile or 1 and a half km. wherever you live.
in three months my aunt lost 18 pounds keep exercising and for snacks eat veggies and dip and melon keep your calories between 1250-1500 a day but if you go over dont sweat it you can just exerze a little more tommorrow. dont worry about calories stress makes you gain weight you know what they say
stressed is desserts spelled backwards! Hope you reach your goal ANd always be happy wiht you.

I was in the police academy, and we did several exercises that will kick the fat and sweat out of you. Walking and jogging for about 1-2 miles a day should help. If that is not for you, then try jumping jacks about 15-20 minutes everyday except Saturday and Sunday (give yourself a little break), but don't pig out on snacks and any food with too much fat and sugar. I know it's very hard to lose weight. The first time I tried I gained 3 pounds in one week (before the academy). It's also a mind thing. Don't think of your diet as a "die"t. Think of it as "I love my new self".

Hey, the key is to exersize. I just dd this recently. Get one of those step things that counts your steps and each day set a goal for how many steps that you want to walk. Each day, increase your number, but dont overwork yourself. And if you eat healthy along with exersize.. you will definetly lose weight.. and im not saying starve yourself.. just watch what you eat.. insted of fried foods for lunch, have a salad or a turkey sandwhich.. and girls who drink milk have up to 70% less body fat than girls who dont.. just so ya know.. I am 13 and i am 5'7 and i weighed 160 lbs.. now i am down to 132.. so take it from some who is experienced.. Hope I helped.. Let me know how everything goes. <33

I'm in the exact same situation. I'm 16, I weigh 140 and I'm 5'2. I'm trying to lose weight too. I am working out a couple times a week and eating really REALLY healthy. I just bought some trimspa but I don't really think I'm gonna take it. I just lost 5 pounds without it.
Sorry this answer sucks but I know what your going through..

Try the GI diet (glycemic index). Emphasis is on eating fresh fruit and veg, wholegrain wheat based foods etc etc. The idea is to eat food which gets digested slowly and so keeps you full up for longer, as opposed to sugary foods which go through your system really quick. Go on Wikipedia and search for 'GI Diet' for an overview.
Also, try and get as much exercise as you can. Even small things like walking everywhere will make a difference.

right well basically 140 lbs and ur 16 and 5'3 well am ur age ur height and 110 lbs but im too thin id say ur aim is good if u were anorexic or are thin already i dont see why u should lose weight but if you really need to you should try the gym or exercising but remember to eat! ANOREXIC is bad and disgusting so eat eat eat just exercise and you might not want to eat chocolate or sugary fatty foods

Eat healthy foods, no junk, watch the sugar, salt and caffeine. Exercise twice a day for at least 20 minutes, you must get your heart rate up. Drink a lot of water to flush yourself.
