thank your parents for caring for you and tell them that you are just going to be friends not boyfriend girlfriend, I'm sure your parents have more reason than the 2 year difference, one day when you are older and even a parent you can look back on this situation and say, "that's why"

Are you a Christian type? Because if so, the fourth commandment says that you must honor your mother and father, which means only that you do not disrespect them by arguing or hitting physically or hurting emotionally. But that does not mean that you have full right and freedom to do whatever you feel you want to do. Which means that going out with any boy you choose is right and it is because you feel it is right. If you feel it is wrong, then it is.

If you think you're in love at this point in your life, you may be in for a challenge but if you feel that you're obliged to listen to the exact words of your parents, then you are lost. You must do what you believe will compliment your life.

Love is a beautiful thing and if you choose to put a boundary on it, it is nothing more than another word.

I say go for it, and if you must secretly go out with whomever, then shall it be [and yes, I am telling you to go out with him anyway].

Lots of love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he really is a great guy then there r 3 options.

1. Secretly date him

2. Convince ur parents that he's great

3. Tell him that u guys should just be friends

No, I wouldn't date in secret because then you will lose your parents trust. Maybe they just need to get to know him more. Suggest having him come over for dinner or something so your parents can see how nice he is.

Your parents are just trying to protect their little girl. Show them that you have a good head on your shoulders and wouldn't do anything that wasn't right. Maybe they will change their mind.

Perhaps he could meet your folks and all of you could chat for a bit and then see what they say. They may just change their minds after getting to know him more. Get his folks involved too, if you really want to see each other. Wish you luck there.

Or...tell your parents that you like him young because he doesn't make any "moves" on you like the guys your own age. This may make them change their minds? :)

that sucks. i would think it would be cool with you parents as long as he wasn't over 18. try talking it over with your parents again. try to helped them understand that you guys like each other and they shouldn't be worried about anything, or maybe have his parents call and talk to your parents. if you go out on a date one of them could chaperon. Just kidding about the last sentence. Good Luck

I would listen to your parents. I would go for some one older. You are already in advance of him as far as maturity.
