have you been cleaning them/?? it really sounds liek you have an allergic reaction to the jewelry.... you hsoudl take them out an do these sea salt soaks once a day for 15 minutes and use the aftercare pierce solution.. i guess you got them at the mall with w piercinc gun. next time go to a professional and have it done wiht a needle its was more sanitary. and healtier all around..
http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Salt_Soaks
do not use hydrogen peroxide, neosporin (or any ointemtns) or rubbing alcohol no matter what peopel may say on here. they are all vary harmful to your piercings and will always do more harm than good. they will cause mor escar tissue. it kills the good tissxue and the good bacterias. they are very harmful and will cuase you mor epain and discomfort
but it sounds liek you are having an allergic reaction tot he jewelry..

Please ignore the idiots who keep telling you to use hydrogen peroxide and neosporin on your piercings! You don't do that! Ever! Take ibprofin for the swelling, put some ice on them and relax. I'm assuming that you didn't go to a professional piercer because they would've told you what to do. Do not take the piercings out unless advised by a doctor or a professional piercer. Doing so can trap the infection in your ears and allow the bacteria to just fester. In general, you should only take out a piercing if you are completely healed.
Like the others said, you're probably allergic to the metal. Your doctor may recommend that you take the piercing out, but you have to make sure to drain the fluids if you do so. In the future, go to a professional--it'll cost a little more, but save you in the long run.

Put ice on it immediatly to stop the swelling. The reason behind the swelling is because your ears are infected, either because you're allergic to the stud metal (did you remember to get hypo-allergenic????), or you didn't clean them with alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. Take the studs out, let your ears rest, and go the Claire's. I used to work there. Explain to the most experianced ear-piercing person your problem and they will help you. If pus or other gunk comes out of your piercing hole, go see a doctor. You might have an allergy to a metel or a medicine that could be potentially life threatening.

Are you using a triple antibiotic cream? You should turn them about every couple hours or so, for a few days.Put the cream on front and back around hole before turning. Some swell like this, you also may be allergic to the earring. I would use the cream and turn first.

take them out! I've had that happen with my ears and nose ... they can get stuck in there and have to be surgically removed. something went wrong over that first day. it might be in how you got them done or where they are pierced. that swelling is NOT normal. swelling should be that day and go away, not get worse. If you can't get it go to a doctor, they will charge big time but it's better than getting a massive infection and not being able to get them redone. if you have to have them redone go to a professional (not claires) and have a needle used, the chance of infection is slim to none with a needle if done right and nothing else goes wrong with the holes. use good metals, no copper ear rings with silve coating- especially if you have metal allergies.

OK put some ice on it to bring the swelling down. then maybe soak it in some sea salt water or use some Hydrogen peroxide. If it doesn't go down a bit I would say by later tonight you really should see a doctor about it! you might have to take the earrings out tonight also you don't want to have them cut it out!

Make sure the earrings your wearing are silver.
Use acohol to clean your ears often. You should consider completely removing the studs. Usually the swelling should die down.

You get some special solution for your ears. I use Hydrogen Peroxide. It stings like crazy though. If that doesn't work, find out if the earrings are real gold or silver. My mother is like that. And if all else fails, take them out and let the holes grow up. Good luck!

Take them out.. Use peroxide on your ears and perhaps some neosporin.. It sounds like you are allergic to the metal the earrings are made of. You will need to allow things to heal before trying it again with a genuine metal like 10k gold.
