Turn your head upside-down when you blow-dry it. Also, flip your hair when you spray it. It will make the roots stand taller and give you that oomph you want. Um, nix the Sunsilk, and try either Got2b glued or Bedhead or Catwalk.

Use just a basic shampoo for oily hair, then rinse with white vinegar to get rid of the residue.
Try the suggestion of holding your head down and letting your hair fall toward the ground while you're blow-drying. Actually, it might be better to let your hair dry without the dryer, as excessive heat can kind of fry your hair and make it flatter (at least, it does with mine).
Putting your hair up in a pony-tail on top of your head for awhile can help add some volume when you let it down.
Drink 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar every day. I know that sounds crazy, but I read it in a magazine, and it seems to help my hair.

Ok, it sounds like your hair might have too many natural oils.. This will cause FLAT hair, the natural oils weigh ones hair down.
Dry or normal hair generally has much more body to it. So, if this is you (or your hair) try a shampoo for oily hair, it will take out the excess un-needed oils, it may take several shampoos to see a difference but you will see one.
Caution, you do not want to strip your hair of all it's natural oils just the excess.
Try this first, then move onto fancy products for fuller hair.
Good Luck

it could be that you have too many products or are using too much condtioner.
one reason ihad trouble with poof is because my hair was too long and heavy. i had the stylist put some layers in there and it porr i had volume. when my hair wont hold volume anymore, i know its time for a trim.
humidity will also ruin poof.

If you have fine, thin hair, stop conditioning as much and use lighter shampoos. Nioxin works great too!
