I was wondering if it is OK that I am not ready to have a boyfriend at 14. There is not alot of boys at our school that I like (I go to a school in a small town). I'm just hoping that High School will be better when it comes to boys.

Absolutely!!!

Trust me good things happen to people that wait. I didn't have a boyfriend until I was 19 and believe me I have no regrets. Besides your only 14 what could a middle school kid offer to you besides an "Ice Cream"!

Think about it.......!

It's totally okay. A boyfriend isn't a requirement at 14. In fact, boys aren't especially mature at that age anyway. Wait until you feel ready and don't worry about what everyone else is doing.

Yes, it is perfectly all right that you aren't ready for a boyfriend at 14. You have a long time ahead of you for boys. Take your time and enjoy life. You will know when the time is right for a boyfriend.

Of course it's OK. In fact, I find it disgusting that so many people your age are desperate for couplehood and seem to be ignorant of the more important things they have to do at 14. Girls like you and me are a dying breed around here. You get the Rio Madeira Seal of Approval!

honey, i didn't find a guy worth being bf/gf with until i was 18. have fun, hang out with whoever you want, and you'll meet someone worth spending time on. besides, it's smart to stay single while you're young cuz you grow to be happy with yourself, by yourself, and you learn to lean on yourself instead of depending on someone else. 10 years from now, you'll be so glad you did things on your own time.

I'm with Setphie. You have plenty of time to decide when you're ready for one.
