If so their actions show you it’s different yet, some times with things here and there it takes me back and I get red flags again…

I know, I can really forget the past and start over, yet I want this person to be a apart of my life…(my friends and family) when I try, he seems insecure about my friends and family judging him. I tell him not to worry about them and just worry about being with me. I try to let him know that he doesn’t have to prove anything to anybody…at the end of the day I’ll still be here. Doest this take time for him?
Will these insecurities with my friends/fam go away?

Don't get me wrong, ex is a hard one because when you break up, your heart is hurt and there are things you did and said that your family know about. In order to make this insecurities goes way is not giving up your family. in you message, you sound like a family person where you like to bring home your boyfriend. Your boyfriend are being judge because of the past. So here is what to do. Instead of bring him into your family every weekeen, bring in one every 2-3 week. As you go out more, your family member will know that you are not around. And they will talk about your boyfriend. Ask your boyfriend to go out more, take more picture. Develop the picture where the two of you are at pinic, rollar coaster, theme park, halloween, and etc in your room. So when your family get together, they will see his face and not person. As time past, your boyfriend has prove to be loyal and here to stay. Then your family will show him more respect and the insecurities will go away. The key is to have your family talk about your boyfriend when he is not there, and have prove (gifts is nice, but picture show how happy you are) in the dinner table.
