I've never used it. I would consult your vet before trying any home treatments.

If your puppy has parvo, have you taken it to the vet? This is very serious and often fatal, you should not treat at home...the dog needs 24 hour care for a couple of days. Any type of guard-pills are good to prevent the disease, it does nothing once the disease in contracted. I would suggest, once the crisis is over, to get a prevention medication that guards against several different diseases. Also make sure the dog has all its vaccinations, one - the DHPPC is designed to guard against Parvo, Distemper, Carona Virus, etc. Do not get anything until you speak with your vet!

I had a puppy with parvo that lived. I gave him gatorade with a medicine dropper several times a day. I don't know what parvo guard is, but it sounds like a preventative, not a treatment.
The vet told me the gatorade trick. He said dogs with parvo die of dehydration more than anything. They won't eat or drink. The small amounts of Gatorade restore some fluid and some minerals to the dog. Hopefully the dog beats the parvo before he/she dies. He didn't give me much hope with the gatorade, but he said it was something to hope on.
Talk to a vet about it.

Parvo is a virus that is very serious for dogs and many dogs die from it.
You need the expert care and attention of a vet and go exactly by what they say. Ring them first.
Parvo guard may be a case of too litle too late. Your dog should have been vaccinated against parvo.
All you can do now is take advice from a vet.

Parvo gaurd will not help it for preventing Parvo.
Only way to save him is keep him hydrated only vet can do it.
If he dies do not get another dog for 1 year or he will get Parvo too.
All dog poop has to be removed from yard spray yard with bleach water yes it will kill the grass but also kills the Parvo virus.
Wash down everything in the house if the dog was in there carpet clothing bedding.

Chances are, your pet will die from this. You should have left him with the vet, they are the only ones who can keep the dog hydrated enough. For future reference, you won't want to bring another unvaccinated dog into your home because parvo live in the environment for a long time and the best way to kill it is with bleach. You will want to get a dog already fully vaccinated and over 1 year old.

If you know for sure that your dog has parvo you gotta get it to a vet ASAP. Or you will lose it. There are no home treatments for parvo. The sooner you get your pup to the vet the better the chances of saving its life!

If your puppy has parvo they die very quickly without treatment. I had two different puppies that got it. The first one that got it died within 2 days. It is a terrible death to watch. With the second puppy we knew early enough to call the vet and put him on two different meds, pedyilite, and vitamins. We literally nursed the puppy back to health, but it took a good week before he would start eating, so early treatment is vital in order to save them. Good luck

First of all, take it to the vet. I bought a puppy from a pet store 4 months ago and i took her to the vet and they gave her a series of shots and now she is fine. They just told me don't take her to public places where other dogs go to spread it. I would go ahead and try the parvogaurd but i sure hope you took your dog to the vet. You should be able to find it at petsmart, petco, or even online. By the way, it can be cured if caught on early enough.

My dad had a black and tan coon dog that survived parvo. 1st go ahead and give all your other dogs the parvo vacc.. check a feed store or your vets office. your vet should be pumping fluids into the puppy with parvo and you have to pour water down him all the time good luck
