pure petroleum jelly everyday will leave you soft and silky as a baby. I know that it sounds greasy but if you put it on at night you will see such a difference.

Be careful with Shea Butter it can cause or worsen acne... I know this from experience! Its great on dry elbows and feet though!

For dry skin I have found fish oil capsules are excellent, perhaps give those a try? That way you will be getting your omega 3 at the same time also.

Shea Butter is great for the dry skin of your body, even helps with stretch marks, but I wouldn't recommend it for your face. I found it was too much for my face, and it became a little oily.
Try using a face cream from Dove, Oil of Olay or Nivea. Just remember to choose the one to match your skin type.
Hope that helps !

my wife rubbed it on her belly while she was pregnant. She claims it prevents strech marks. Maybe she's right because she didn't get any strech marks. And her sister, who was pregnant at the same time, did get stretch marks (and didn't rub shea butter). I think shea butter is mainly used by black people. not sure why. I think it smells pretty good.

it works well but i don't like the smell personally or the heavy oily feel. There is this brand called fruit of the earth, try their Vitamin E skin care cream. it works really well, is light, and does not have a stong smell to it. i don't remember where i got it from, pretty sure i have seen it at Walgreens,Target, and Wal-mart though. you can get it in a 4 oz jar or 8 oz tube

I don't know about using it for your face, I have a dry face especially in winter and I use a lotion made by clean and clear that is oil free so my face is moisturized but not by oily stuff that clogs pores and can cause break outs.

I would think it would be too heavy on the face. I've used it on my heels and elbows...feels almost like vaseline. Try Eucerin Extra Protective Moisterizer instead for something affordable. Creme de la Mer is supposed to be the best, but it's expensive.

Shea butter is good, and anything with aloe in it is good too!

any thing you use on your face should be non-comedogenic
Or it will clog your pores........
I have never used Shea Butter on my face
