Hey. Well, I seriously doubt it is possible to have a healthy - even moderately healthy - diet with absolutely no carbohydrate intake. You at least need vegetables and SOME fruit if you want to maintain balanced bodily functions. Why? Because vegetable and fruit have the fiber vital to your digestive system. Furthermore, eating too much protein without anything else can lead to kidney failure, which is, as you can probably assume, not very good. Even Atkins, which is a firm enforcer of the low-carb. policy, permits twenty grams of carbohydrates daily - and even that is not considered very safe for one's body. But for a relatively-low carbohydrate diet, here is I list of foods I would recommend: Fresh meat (lean is your best bet), fish, poultry, unsweetened dairy and tofu; raw nuts (except chestnuts); most vegetables (Note:avoid legumes, potatoes, carrots, yams, beans and beets. Try eating more green vegetables -broccoli, green peppers, Brussels Sprouts, etc.); "low-carb" products (see label/nutrition label); some fruit (small amounts of lemon or lime, rhubarb, raspberries, blackberries, cranberries); vegetable/olive/canola/sunflower oil; butter (but try to go easy on the butter). As for sweets, you could try (and I cannot believe I am even suggesting this) using Splenda Artificial Sweetener (less than one gram of carbohydrates per package. Each package has the sweetness of two teaspoons of sugar) because many regular sweets will most likely contain sugar or fructose, which are, essentially, carbohydrates. But, a better solution would be to use very sparse amounts of sugar or fructose (or honey) or to avoid the ordeal altogether. Also, drink plenty of water - at least eight glasses a day if you want to eat a plenty of protein. P.s. But I believe that if you are looking just to loose some weight, you would be better off just eating a balanced diet of lean protein, whole grains, fruits and vegetables, small amounts of vegetable oil or butter and the occasional sweetmeat and do half an hour to an hour of exercise every day.

Really on a low carb diet you can eat lots of meats and cheeses, but really you can have anything as long as you remember that you're only supposed to have 40 carbs a day to lose weight. While I can't help you much with just going through the store and saying "here, this is good", I can give you a couple of our favorite low carb or carb-friendlier recipes that we tweaked when we were on the Atkins diet. I really hope this helps!
CHICKEN WITH CUCUMBERS
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp butter
chicken breasts
1 large cucumber
1/2 an onion, sliced thin
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. ground mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup chicken stock ( 1/2 cup water and 1 chicken boullion cube works too)
3 tbsp. sour cream
Heat oil and butter in skillet. Add chicken to pan, cook thoroughly. Take cucumber and peel, slice in half, seed with a spoon and dice small. When chicken is cooked golden brown, remove from pan. Add onion and cucumber. Cover and cook 1-2 minutes. Add chicken stock, garlic, cumin and mustard. Cook 5-7 minutes more until onion and cucumber are tender. Stir in sour cream. Serve cucumber sauce over chicken.
Meatloaf
2 lbs hamburger or ground turkey
1/2 cup crushed pork rinds
1/4 onion, chopped
1/2 tsp garlic, minced
2 eggs, beaten
1 can tomato sauce
Topping
1 can condensed tomato soup
2 tbsp. prepared yellow mustard
2 tbsp. splenda brown sugar substitute
In bowl, combine beef, onion, garlic, eggs, tomato sauce and crackers. Mix well and pat into baking dish or cast iron skillet. Bake 1 hr at 400, drain off grease. Mix topping ingredients and pour over meatloaf, bake another 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

A 'carb diet' is HIGH in carbs, dear. The need for it goes back to the Bible, where it is called 'pulse'. Hope you love veggies.
Complex carbs--raw or frozen green and yellow veggies. Mixed veggies. Carrots. Not much potatoes, and no pasta. Don't fry--boil or bake, with a low-fat seasoning with NO TRANS FAT. It will probably be a shock to your system to eat healthy, so stick with it for 3-5 days for the cravings for all the unhealthy food to go away. Stay away from canned foods, fast food, pop and foods with MSG.
And remember, you NEED a balance between diet, rest and exercise. Best of luck.

You want lots of meat, chicken, fish, green vegetables, eggs, oatmeal. Avoid sweets, bread, rice, potatoes, milk, cola, fruit juice. In general, look for something with less than 10 grams sugars. Refer to some diabetic recipe web sites, as diabetics need to avoid carbs. Also, the Lean Cuisine or weight watcher frozen dinners are good.

Are you eating the foods with carbs or avoiding them?
Breads and pasta have high carbs, but they are complex and necessary for a healthy diet.
Sugar, soda, and candy have the highest carbs, but are simple and make you instantly fat.

They have already shown that in the long term that diet doesn't work better than Weight Watchers. Switch to a more sensible diet plan. Eat lean meats, fruits, vegetables, beans, and stay away from sweets.
