To this question what i will say that he wants you to know how much he loves you. he dosen't wants to loose you that's why he keeps on sending messages. May he is in love with you. He probably wants to do it with you. If you think that you will have a better life with him and your husband dosen't give you any respect or anything you should have a date with him at a special place where your husband won't find out and you should do it with him. If you think you will have a better life with him then you marry him. I won't prefer this if you have kids though. You should probably give him one chance.

It doesn't mean he is a loser, it means he still cares and can't get over the fact you guys broke up. Talk to him and tell him you can't have him texting you all the time that u have moved on
