Honey plan something nice and then be prepared for it not to go the way you planned but propose to her anyway. What ever you do will be the greatest thing, but a nice dinner and or flowers, or something special you do together to make it more personal but what ever will be just fine

I knew around when my love was going to propose because the jewler let it slip that he had picked up the ring. I waited. He took me to our favorite restaurant and we had a wonderful dinner, a wonderful time. I kept thinking when is he going to ask me, when.

Well as he said later, the right time just did not seem to come and soon we were on our way out of the restaurant and home. He said that he realized that he was going to have to hold on to the ring and plan another date and he decided to just go for it He proposed to me in the elevator and it was the sweetest most wonderful thing and my most treasured memory. Later it made a wonderful story we told it and told it over 30 years of happily ever after.

I know that you said for girls to help you out with your questions but the ones you should ask are the guys because after all they are the ones that do the proposing. We just get surprised. Ask guys to help you I'm sure you will get some really good ideas. Congratulations on your decision of proposing to your girlfriend and good luck.

A nice dinner at a place with a view is always nice. Reserve a table next to a window. Is she a sports fan? Do it at game, and call a while ahead and ask if they can put your proposal on the jumbotron.

In general, think of something the two of you like to do together, and find a way to tie it in with that.

Or, think of where you went on your first date or how you met, and think of some way to do it there or relate it to that place if possible.

If you both love chinese food then have your proposal baked into a fortune cookie. As she reads the fortune pop out the ring and and say something really cool and passionate using the word forune since its a fortune cookie.

Don't do it at a crowded romantic restaurant unless she hints at that, because everyone does that.

My husband and I went snowshoeing at a local golf course and he proposed to me there. It was very romantic. It was just us with nobody else around. Do something that won't make her know it's coming. Don't do it on a special day, holiday, etc...if you want to surprise her. Hope this helps a little. Congrats!!! And Good Luck!

B4 you propose watch the movie called "STEP MOTHER" with Julia Roberts. Watch this movie without your g/f. The way the guy proposes to Julia Roberts is absolutely amazing.

My husband sent me to the spa for the day and when I came home, he had candles and rose petals all through the house. I followed the rose petals and candles up stairs and there on a Fancy pillow there was my ring and in rose petals it said will you marry me?(he then got down on his knee and asked)
the table had a champagne and a candle lit dinner
it was perfect

My fiance surprised the heck out of me when he proposed. I was expecting it to happen when I graduated college this June, but he asked me in October. He invited me over to his house, cooked me dinner, told me how he felt about me, and asked me to marry him. I love the way that he did it. It was private and a complete surprise and I think that is how it should be. I don't think it has to be extravagent or anything. I would have said yes to him in heartbeat, no matter how he asked me!

well, my dad just proposed to his girlfriend. and he took her to sedona and they went up in a hot air balloon. and then he did it. and my fience proposed to me in San Pedro at the Koren Bell. it was a really beautiful night and it was just perfect. um, do something she likes to do, like ice skating. and clear everyone off the rink except for you and her and then do it infront of all the people. orr get a really really big box, then inside of it a slightly smaller box, ect ect until she gets down to a small box, a ring box. but dont put the ring in there. shell open it and have a note in there that says 'you have to say yes first' and then get down on one knee. good luck
