Even though it states that if you are raped you are to be put to death, your father can sell you into slavery, you are property, and that if your husband dies and you have no son you are obligated to marry your brother?

Remember, the Bible is apparently the inerrant word of god... you wouldn't want to upset him by not heeding his every word.

Let's not stop there:

If biblical law became US Law, there could be no female in ANY leadership roles. All female politicians and teachers would have to go (1 Timothy 2: 11-12). Women's Rights would take a big step back, as women would have to be subordinate and under the control of their husbands (1 Peter 3:1).

It's a fact that one of the biggest opponents of any Women's Rights movements (i.e suffrage) has been Christian churches, based on these very passages. If biblical law became U.S law, women everywhere can say goodbye to their rights and all the progress we've made to become social equals to men.

You have alot of facts wrong. One is really very funny-marry your brother? No way---it use to be that the woman would marry her brother in law--for two reasons. One, for a child to carry on her husband's name, and two, so the woman would have someone to take care of her. Back then, widows were really in a bad situation.

The rape bit is wrong also. If a man raped a woman, she was then considered his wife-whether he liked it or not-he had to take care of her.

Do some research before you start quoting other great revelations.
