I have a scar on my neck after getting a mole removed over half a year ago. It really bothers me cause it's kind pink and I'm mixed so I have yellowish/brownish skin complexion. What can I do? I've started using Palmer's Cocoa butter because I read alot of recommendations for cocoa butter on this site to heal scars. Should I be using pure cocoa butter or will palmer's help? what else can i do? how much will surgery cost? I really feel depressed becaue of it. Should I just leave it alone?

If a plastic surgeon is doing the surgery, I would first suggest you ask him/her; don't know what to tell you concerning the supplements. You can use Mederma, which you can buy over the counter at walmart, walgreens, etc. Also, any cream that contains 4% hydroquonine will lighten scars, but it will take time; I think you can only get that percentage amount from a dermatologist, but I'm not sure.

Unfortunately it will be noticeable regardless of any treatment unless you have a plastic surgery. My mole was removed using some green cold stuff that i can't remember the name but it affected the skin pigments and that spot shows even after ten years or so.

well because the scar is pink i would go get some foundation to apply to that area...first start with a white cover up and apply that then apply a foundation that almost matches your skin color and see if that helps any...I have a scar also and it doesn't make it go away 100% but it makes it not so visible...
