Because some people equate non-belief to being evil... if you're not with us, you're against us, that kind of mentality. If you're not a child of Christ then, well, you must be a child of Satan. It's a logical fallacy... a false logic.

person who does not have self assurance in God. i'm answering this question as you sought to understand the meaning of cliffnote's version. it incredibly is a word which shows the shorter version of a protracted tale. as an occasion, you ask someone a query, he says, "it incredibly is a protracted tale". then you definately say, "supply me the Cliffnote's version" meaning which you quite desire the guy to tell you with out each and every of the main factors. The t in my Verstion is a spelling errors, which I then felt further a private touch and it caught. I initially fancied myself as giving purely to the factor solutions...which I for sure do no longer now.

You just said it yourself, it's one way or the other. To an extreme christian the complete acceptance of Jesus and the rules created by the writers of the bible is the only way to be saved, everybody else is lost and the spawn of Satan. These are people who need to believe something very badly, so badly that they've convinced themselves everything they've learned about their religion is pure fact. People like this don't want to hear wat you have to say because even the thought of questioning the glue that holds their life together is absurd. It's no wonder your mere that your mere presence offended her enough to boot you, and rather amusing if you think about it.

I don't mean to be condescending, please hear me out. It doesn't make sense to your mind because it's a spiritual issue & spiritual things have to be spiritually discerned. It's not easy to explain to a non-believer. Belief requires faith & some people think the whole Christian thing is too simplistic. You say you have no beliefs, but everyone believes in something. I realize that being a Christian is becoming more unpopular, but I am one & I won't apologize for it. This is what we believe, & I'm not condemning you, God is real, His Word is true, Jesus died for everyone's sins even if you choose not to believe. But just as God is real so is satan & if you choose not to believe in God & you don't accept Jesus as Savior then you've chosen satan by elimination. If you really have doubts, it's okay to express them. God doesn't condemn us, He provided a way for us to be saved. We condemn ourselves by the choices we make.

It does seem pretty foolish to call atheists "devils children" when there are so many fake christians out there that really act like Satan's spawn.

Its for the same reason that they think Pagan/Wiccans are the devils children, or any other religion for that matter. Some of them (not all though) think that their religion is the only right religion, and that everyone elses are wrong. When the truth is, no one is right and no one is wrong. We dont know whos religion, if any is right. Just like we dont know whos is wrong.

We don't. It's just guys like the ones who come on here and pollute the minds of more impressionalbe
people. What do they care if someone falls into the
pits of despair. Kills someone or themselves? That's why
the Word says we will be held accountable for every idle word we say!

Because they are ignorant
(An Atheist is not someone who has no beliefs. An Atheist is someone who has no belief in god or the super natural. I have lots of beliefs - like I believe that my husband loves me, etc.)

Because some christians don't know what they are talking about, plus they don't even recognise the command in the bible to love your enemy.
I'm a christian, and I'm pretty appauled to hear that, but I can believe it.
