The first thing you have to do is fill out a FASFA form. You school's fin aid department can help you. With this form, you may get a PELL grant (grant as in free money) and if that is not enough you can get loans. They come in 2 types subsidized and unsubsidized. Subsidized is the best. They don't accrue interest while you're in school, unsub do.

google direct loan. they are one of the largest providers of student loans. There should be info on how to apply on line or a toll free number to get a paper copy

Then if you still need more money in loans, try a private loan at http://www.thinkfinancial.com
you can borrow up to $40,000 per year and they send the check directly to you. Good Luck.
