Nature has a way of putting us with people that are of the same general attractiveness.
First of all, you'll never find a boyfriend if you are thinking you're ugly, so get over that crappy attitude now!
Some people have looks, some have personality, some have money. The most interesting and fun people I know have personality. It doesn't mean much to hear this when you're in Middle School, but trust me when I say Middle school is not even going to be much of a memory when you're 20! Work on being a kind, thoughtful, strong person and things will work out fine.
Try not to let the 'models' get you down. What they don't have is usually well honed personalities because they have spent their lives basically getting things because of how they look. It's not their fault, but generally as they age, and aren't as 'cute', they have nothing to fall back on.
Work on being who you are, not what you think you should be.
Good for you for asking questions. It never hurts to ask for help with things, especially when you're going through the teen years.

Ugly?!! Most of us probably thought we were ugly in middle school. You probably have great features and will blossom into a gorgeous gal. The problem may be your own self-perception. Read some books (get a librarian or guidance counselor to recommend some) on the subject of self esteem, self development, etc. and try to do things to reinforce good feelings about yourself. You must learn how to love and value yourself before you can hold your own in any relationship. Best of luck

you have some self esteem issues that need to be attended to before looking for relationship.
take a long look at yourself in the mirror, pick out all the good things that you like about yourself. ( i like my eyes, i think they are my best feature). then focus on that.
you are so young to be worried about this now. I know being young, and wanting to rush into adulthood, but really take this time to focus on what really matters, your education.
in a few years, when you are old enough to date, you will have a different veiw of yourself. this is only an awkword stage for any young person.
so take time and see what is really good about yourself. (like your funny, or you have great hair, a good smile, etc), when you have done that, begin to think of your self as not ugly. I am not saying go around saying you are pretty, but do not say you are ugly. I do that a lot, as a woman we go through a lot of "ugly" periods in our lives. But i will be the first to tell you I am not ugly!

Don't think of it this way. There are also very attractive women who feel there's something wrong with them because men don't pay attention to them (because they fear competition or being rejected).
So it really doesn't matter what you look like. If you don't like your appearence, maybe he will. Besides, being a bit ugly can be a good thing, since sometimes men tend to make connections like beautiful--sex, normal--personality. :)
You can't be ugly, maybe you're being too tough on yourself. Usually ugly women think they're pretty. What you have inside is what really matters, so if the guy is worth it, he'll appreciate it. :)
I'd say let him know you. Make him be interested in knowing you. Make him respect you. :)

I've seen serious DOGS with boyfriends that could be modeling for Hugo Boss... You might wonder why this is... personality, sister. That's all it takes. Now maybe you're not as ugly as you think you are and you just happen to have a serious self esteem problem. As soon as you get a grip and manage to love yourself a little, people will immediatelky look at you differently as well.

Every time you look at yourself in the mirror, you see every tiny thing about yourself you wish was different. When was the last time you looked at a friend and scrutinized everything about them?
i'm sure you hold yourself to much higher standards than everyone else does.
and if you are "ugly", think of everything else that you are as well. you are probably a million things. you may be interesting, creative, fun, friendly, the list could go on for ever.
and really, when you add all those thing up, ugly just pales in comparison.

LIfe is too short to worry about what others think. You waste too much time worrying about that and you'll have lost precious time enjoying life. Instead, take calculated chances and know the worst thing that can happen is the answer "no". Is that really so bad. No, it isn't. It means that there is a different oppurtunity that just hasn't revealed itself to you yet. May not be the answer you were looking for, but I hope at least inspirational..... Peace

Look around you. See the fat ugly woman who lives a few doors down, she has a husband. See how many ugly people there are with b/f or husbands.
I am sure you are not ugly. Feeling like you are is one of the tricks of changing hormones. It will last for years, learn to ignore it.

I bet you are selling yourself short. You have to dig deep inside yourself and realize you are a unique, beautiful person who has many gifts to give others, so carry yourself proudly. If you think less of yourself, others will sense that. Your beauty lies within, but you can also do a few tricks to improve your looks through hairdos, clothes, etc. Beauty only carries a person so far, and the lasting relationships in life remain so because people love what's inside people, not outside. So build up that self confidence by looking as good as you can on the outside, and love yourself on the inside.

In order to love someone, you must first love yourself. Try boosting your morale. Maybe go get a make over (or have some friends give you one) and go shopping. Buy something that makes you feel like you are the most beautiful girl in the world in it. You will never know until you try. Talk to him! Good luck!
