well, there's really no such thing as a "full pit"..
Pit bull is NOT a breed. It's a generic term often used to describe all dogs with similar traits and characteristics often known by the public as "pit bulls". Pit Bulls include: American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers and "PBXs" (crosses)
if it looks like a "pit" then it probably is..
check this website, its an excellent resource:

There's no such thing as "full pit", as "pitbull" is not a real breed.
However, there IS a breed called the American Staffordshire bull terrier and this is often confused with "pitbull", and those dogs are short-legged.
Pit bulls are a cross between many of the bull breeds, with the Staffy being the foundation breed.

There is no test. Even if they are small for their age, that's OK, they may just have small parents. I have an almost 10 year old Sib. Husky who is only 29 pounds (yes, I even have papers with her pedigree). She was the runt and just remained small. That doesn't make her any less of a Sib. Husky or any less of a dog. Also, pitts come in many colors. Just be sure to spay and/or neuter in the next month for happy healthy pets.

I believe the best way to find that out is to go to the vet and have them check because people like to trick other's about pit bulls due to the fact they are so rear in the world today.
